Wug's First Retreat

Yellow everyone,

Since Krissy and Tut seem to be the only ones actually posting on this most excellent blog, I will add a snippet of my own uneventful life...

After surviving a mucho hectic week of midterms, I decided to attend my first retreat with Manna. We were at the NJ Christian Academy, which is basically a little retreat center in the middle of nowhere with shower water that smells strongly of sulfur and very weakly flushing toilets. Minus the plumbing inconveniences, though, the retreat was STEWpendous (practically the cook's son, Tut...). We had the tastiet homecooked Korean food (a sidenote, of course) and our speaker was Charlie Drew from Emmanuel Presbyterian church in NYC (Randy and Jenn might know who he is).

Here's a picture of all the Freshmen (as you can see, Manna is mostly asian). I never really understood the commodity of taking a picture with all your heads in a circle...easy spreader for dandruff and lice, I believe. I actually connected more with the sophomores than the freshmen, though, so these aren't really my buddies anywho. After going to retreat and meeting so many people, I think I'll start going to Manna regularly instead of switching between PEF (Princeton Evangelical Fellowship). It's too hard to keep going back and forth between groups, because you never really feel fully integrated into any of the groups you join.

Now that retreat is done, I can't wait to go to Philly and visit me BIG SIBS! Hooray! More to come later on Wug's b-day, big tasties at Morning Glory, etc, etc...Togezzer in Philly.

  • DAWG! I know Charlie Drew! And I've been to that church! Charlie Drew is the father of Allen Drew, a guy who works at my school. I'm friends with him and his wife, Heather Drew, who does IV staff at Bryn Mawr!
